Eye Filmmuseum: Visitor Guidelines

Bag Policy: Bags and umbrellas are not allowed in the exhibitions. Store them in the lockers or the unattended cloakroom, at your own risk. There is no space for suitcases, folding bikes or other large items.

Photography: Professional photo and film shoots are only possible with Eye’s prior approval, and only without flash.

Food and Drink: Eye’s bar-restaurant serves coffee, lunch, drinks and dinner. During the day, drinks, lunch and snacks are ordered at the bar.

Conduct: Once a film has started, latecomers can no longer enter the cinema, and children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Films follow the Dutch Kijkwijzer age ratings, so you may be asked for ID at films rated 16+.

Eye Filmmuseum is situated at IJpromenade 1, 1031 KT Amsterdam, on the northern bank of the River IJ directly opposite Amsterdam Central Station.

The box office is open from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM Tuesday to Thursday and on Sundays, and until 11:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, closing once the last screening has started. Outside Dutch school holidays it opens at 6:00 PM on Mondays.
