About Foam

Foam, short for 'Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam', is a prominent institution dedicated to showcasing and promoting the art of photography. Located in a monumental canal-side building in the city's historic centre, the museum presents a wide variety of photographic genres, from documentary and fashion to contemporary and historical photography.

Foam is a platform for new talent as well as an exhibition space for established photographers, with a frequently changing programme of around 20 exhibitions a year and up to four on view at the same time. Beyond its exhibitions, Foam publishes Foam Magazine, runs educational programmes, and has its own gallery, Foam Editions, where you can buy special edition prints.
